Lets being this topic with a simple thought "If you want to be happy , live in each moment." I know You must be knowing this thing very well and it may seem to be an obvious thing to you- but think about it is it really that obvious to you. If you think this is not as obvious as it seems though ,then my friend this one is surly for you.
Lets begin with a little story , recently I had a small chat with one of my friend who was an engineer in a MNC and had recently left that job as he was not happy with the job . So he decided to look for better opportunity . when he told me this I thought It was a wise decision as if you keep on doing things you are not happy with you get stuck in an vicious circle of being unhappy and being unproductive. As I was feeling some appreciation for his wisdom ,he said he have been at home for a week now and feel useless sitting at home and suddenly I realised some people just cant be happy in any way . When I had talk with him couple of months back he was complaining that his job was too demanding and he doesn't get any free time for himself and now today when he has time to relax and enjoy his leisure time he is again complaining .
The thing here isnt the demanding job or some extremely free time the cause here is the feeling of uncertainty. I’ve discovered that you have greater success with living life in the present moment when you remove judgement from what you're experiencing. Rather than making an event a bad or a good experience, you find yourself being in the “core” of the moment; that is, what you're feeling is much more helpful than why it isn’t what you think it should be. This is called allowing rather than resisting what is. Even if you wish to change the moment, it’s far more useful to allow it without any judgement, and then notice everything you can about it.
The more you stay out of your good-thought/bad-thought routine, the more you're able to just be with it. just try to observe the instant without any judgement. As a child, you knew how to be totally present. I encourage you to become an observer of little unspoiled children. Notice how they don’t react to every little disturbance in their world, and how they’re in the moment, and then in the next moment, and so on. You can use this kind of non-judgement to practice your new, explanation free identity. As we leave the wonder years of child hood we leave behind our very own nature of being happy and most of all being oneself. We see our self as portrait which has been painted and crafted over us through the experience of past and the expectation of future .
When you train ourselves to live in each moment, you immerse ourselves in it and begin to discover its beauty and wonder. you learn to focus and manage your energy. Professional athletes understand and employ this kind of focus very well. They know that accomplishment and success are a result of the skillful management and balancing of energy. To make every moment count you must embrace it. Everything you do and every person you come in contact with deserves our full attention. Even when resting you should savour the moment. It gives us the opportunity to recharge, renew and gain clarity.
The worst part about living in the past or the future is that you’re giving up your personal power. If you’re not living now, you’re giving up your life. You’re surrendering your power to create. If there are changes you’d like to make in life, it’s best to do it now. If you’re living in the past, you can’t do anything about it, it’s gone. If you’re worrying about the future, you’re living somewhere that doesn’t exist. It hasn’t happened yet. If you want to change your life, the only place you can do it is in the present. But first you need to accept life as it is.
You lose peace of mind if you constantly live in the past and think and visualize events that have already happened. You also gain nothing by worrying about the future. On the other hand, concentrating on the present moment, on what is happening or what you are doing right now, frees you of unnecessary, burdensome and unpleasant thoughts and emotions, and brings peace into your mind.
Just remember life is neither in past nor in future, life is in this very moment enjoy it and embrace it, you owe it to yourself make every moment count.
